Fibre Memory

Biodesign · Textile

Context

Rather than treating textiles as neutral or inert surfaces, this research considers materials as living systems, capable of transformation, degradation and interaction with the environment.

Approach

Through biodesign, these fibres exist in cycles rather than linear lifespans, designed to return to the earth or the sea without leaving irreversible traces.
