Algae Yarn
Seaweed plays a central role in this research. Harvested responsibly, algae offer an alternative to synthetic fibers, while introducing a new relationship to fragility and impermanence.
Through experimentation, algae are transformed into threads and textile surfaces. These materials remain sensitive to humidity, tension and time: qualities often perceived as weaknesses, reinterpreted here as signs of life.

By accepting instability, this research proposes a different value system: one where vulnerability becomes an integral part of design.
